Taking 4 deep, relaxing breaths, see the golden white light of Father Sun entering through your crown and circulating throughout your body, ultimately landing in your heart. Then, with another 4 slow, deep breaths, allow the mossy green light of Mother Earth to rise through the soles of your feet, moving upward through every cell and molecule until it, too, enters your heart, swirling and mating with the light of the Sun. This is the balance of the sacred feminine and divine masculine residing in your heart. It will be accessible to you any time you need to call upon it.
Now, envision the Tree of Life. It is commonly depicted as a large tree with roots that spread deep into the ground, and branches that spread upward to the sky. This represents the interconnected nature of all things in the universe; an eternal bonding of the physical realm we are rooted in, and the spiritual realm we are reaching for. The Tree of Life serves as a reminder of our connection to Mother Earth, our dependence on her to grow and flourish ~ as well as our connection to Father Sky, the rain, and the blessings of the Universe.
Much like the life cycle of trees, our lives can experience seasons of darkness and light, death and re-birth. The Tree of Life represents re-birth, positive energy and new beginnings. It symbolizes our personal development, uniqueness and individual beauty. Just as the branches of a tree strengthen and grow upwards to the sky, we too grow stronger, striving for greater knowledge, wisdom and new experiences as we move through life. All trees begin life in the same way, yet as they grow older, they weather nature’s forces and develop in their own unique and beautiful ways.
At this time, please sit at the base of the tree. Ask it to show you the ways that you are like this tree. Embrace your strong, sturdy body. Feel your blood moving like the sap through the tree. See how you reach for your spiritual connections as you stand grounded upon the earth.
Now listen….listen to the birds singing, the bees buzzing, the ants crawling on the ground. Listen for the messages and medicines they offer you. Feel the simplicity of their joy, and know you can feel this, too.
In gratitude, give the Tree of Life a gift. It could be a hug, a stone or feather, or your heartfelt thanks for all it has shown you today. Bow to this gentle giant, and see it bow in return, knowing it will welcome you any time you want to come back.
And now, feel your eyes blinking and your body wanting to stretch, as you return to your daily life
